We are an international group of WSET graduates brought together by a deep-rooted interest in wine, pursued through study, encounter and travel. Our diverse origin — both in provenance and occupation — is the base of a broad set of perspectives, experiences, of hesitations & interests.
We rate and critique wines with a standard method (the SYS-TEM), based on form, content and character. Aware that the world does not need another wine rating scale, we begin this endeavour motivated by our shared enjoyment of the old grape ferment.

After a week of preparation and relatively leisurely mornings, the decision is made: tomorrow we harvest. First light is just after 6 am and we line up at 7 am. I'm still unsure of what to expect and what’s expected of me, all I know is that we are starting out in one of the vineyards first thing.

Harvest started early in many wine regions this year. In Burgundy, grapes for Crémant were being picked from 8 August — a new record for the region. By the time many wineries were already deep into harvest, I was only just arriving in the Lucca hills, where everything was still waiting to begin.
